And the relevant minister at the time when Brad's contract was renewed was Tracy Taegar Panton. Today she rejected any suggestion of corruption:

"And when the application was made by the Brads Gaming Group Limited to the government of Belize back in 2019, there was no third-party investor out of Cayman. Like the Belize Airport Concession Company, it was a consortium of Belizean investors at the time. So to suggest in this honourable house that there was some kind of clandestine approach to the awarding of this contract is completely untrue."
"I sat in the capacity of minister of state in the ministry of economic development, petroleum, investment, trade and commerce and the gaming control board came under my direct oversight and no member of that gaming control board can ever say that there was any interference, ministerial or otherwise in the review and the awarding of the Brads Gaming Group Limited bid to manage the Lottery."
