He is the longest serving National Assembly Clerk in post-independent Belize - but after 14 years in the post, Eddie Webster is taking early retirement.
Webster has submitted his resignation and is leaving the post at the end of this month.
He took over the chief administrative chair in the National Assembly in 2010 during the Barrow Administration - and - to the surprise of many - lasted for 3 and half years under the Briceno administration.
The Clerk is in charge of managing the varied business of the House - from meetings of the representatives to Committee sessions.
Reports tell us that Webster hasn't had the easiest time with the House Speaker and their relationship was not known to be harmonious.
Under Webster's tenure the House upgraded to stream all meetings live on Youtube.
Government has not indicated who will replace him.
