Government has moved to acquire Mike Feinstein's property at Stake Bank

But tonight the Feinstein group says it is, quote, "fully prepared to contest the Government's… decision to compulsorily acquire 23.4 acres of Stake Bank Island…This decision not only lacks legitimate public interest but also flagrantly violates established legal standards governing compulsory acquisition."_End quote.

The 2,00 word press release goes unto argue that the acquisition, quote, "under the guise of public interest is both illegal and unjust. International norms and case law stipulate that compulsory acquisition must be justified by a compelling and overriding public necessity, which is demonstrably absent in this case."

Interestingly, the release also says, quote, "Contrary to widespread media reports claiming a 50-50 ownership split, Mr. Michael Feinstein holds 100% of SBEL's shares..." End quote.

The release adds, quote, "Mr. Feinstein legally acquired the additional 23.4 acres surrounding Stake Bank Island using his personal funds with full transparency and approval from relevant authorities, including the Department of the Environment and the Ministry of Natural Resources."
