Untitled Document And when you meet Minister Fonseca at a culture event, it's clear he's not just going through the motions - he really gets into it.

We asked him if he would like to retain that portfolio if the PUP gets the chance to form the next government.

While acknowledging that the decision is completely up to the PM - he said he would:

Jules Vasquez:
"But you have invested so much in culture. I know you're working on some very exciting things. I saw you dancing in a commercial. Dancing in your seat. But, if you had the choice, would you retain the portfolio for the Ministry of Culture?"

Francis Fonseca, Minister of Culture
"That's where I do my best dancing. In my seat (laughs). No, I, I obviously, I love, I love culture, and given the opportunity, I would certainly want to continue that work. We've started a lot of important, exciting initiatives. The Belize music project, you know, the George Price House that we're working on. So many other different projects that we've embarked on. So, you know, as you rightly said, that's not my decision. That's a decision for the Prime Minister. But if given the opportunity, certainly I would want to continue, continue that work, along with, you know, all the other amazing people we have at NICH, the directors who, who have supported that work and really made it happen."
