Untitled Document And while Fort George and Pickstock are already spoken for, Dangriga and Toledo East will still see other candidates on their ballots - though none will be UDP. In Dangriga, the PUP's Louis Zabaneh will be facing independent candidate Cyril "Uruwei" Garcia. And in Toledo East, Osmond Martinez will be up against PNP's Wil Maheiaand independent Orlando Muschamp,
Shyne says they'll have the support and machinery from the UDP.
Shyne Barrow, Leader ofthe Opposition
"Would like to say that I spoke to Wil Maheia yesterday and we fully support his candidacy in Toledo East. We encourage all voters in the Toledo East constituency to support Wil Maheia. I also spoke with Mr. Cyril Garcia from Dangriga. He's the independent candidate. And we encourage all voters in Dangriga to support Mr. Cyril Garcia because those two candidates are leaps and bounds better than Louis Zabaneh and Osmond Martinez."
Reporter:
"In that case, will you be maybe using your machinery to help them out? Maybe as well. Elvia Vega Which you have also thrown your support to?"
Shyne Barrow, Leader ofthe Opposition
"Yes. In all fairness, I have not spoken to Ms.. Vega. I don't want anyone to misconstrue what I'm saying. We do support her and we are prepared to help as much as the candidates would like us to be involved. But we support them and we are rooting for them because anything is better than the People's United Party."
