Today two handfuls of San Pedranos gathered at the Saca Chispas Stadium in San Pedro for a peaceful protest against the area rep. They protested against dredging, the high cost of living, corruption and destruction of the marine ecosystem.
Despite not being well attended and being kept far from the area representative's office or the town hall, the few protestors had a strong message. Here's how the organizer Celestino Tzul put it:
