Last night at the Yim Saam Restaurant in Belmopan, FIFA Executive and the Ministry of Sports and Sports Council held a high level meeting.
Both sides are under a gag order but a spokesperson for the ministry was surprisingly upbeat about the meeting. He said it was a very productive session and there was a commitment to move forward through a process of dialogue. He says FIFA Reps are expected to return within the next week or two to continue an exchange of information on both sides. It sounds to us like those meetings will be held before the August 15th. deadline which FIFA has given for the resolution of difficulties between the FFB and the Sports Council.
This morning at 7:30 the FIFA Execs met with Sergio Chuc of the BPFL - and they left the country by this afternoon…..
