9 days ago, we told you how Dangriga-born Rakeem Nunez Roches is about to become the first Belizean to play on the biggest sporting stage in the world. He's a defensive tackle for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and a big part of the team's success is due to their playoff-leading defense.

Several days ago, the Bucs, led by the legendary quarterback Tom Brady, won the NFC Championship over the Green Bay Packers, 31 to 26. That secured them a spot in the Superbowl LV (55), which will be played this Sunday.

This matchup against the defending champ, the Kansas City Chiefs will take place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. It's the first time in history a team will play the Super Bowl on their home turf, and it's also a big game for Rakeem Nunez Roches.

This afternoon, after several days of requests, his mother, Nancy Nunez, granted 7News a telephone interview to discuss his major athletic success.
