Today marked the start of the 3rd annual William Dawson Sprite Basketball Tournament, to honor the memory of the former chairman of the LIU, and to give young, vulnerable men an opportunity to participate in a disciplined competition. The first games kicked off this evening at the Yabra Green Basketball Court, but not before the official opening ceremony - and as usual, the Minister of Home Affairs' shot signaled the start. He told us that this tournament is only one form of mediation and conflict resolution.

The tournament lasts five to six months.
