The business house that was once known as Vogue and since 1986 Marelco today opened the doors to a new building that it will call home.

For the better part of 66 years the establishment had been housed at the corner of Queen Street and North Front Street. Over time however business expanded and Peter Gegg, Marelco's general manager says the move was prompted because of lack of space.

Peter Gegg, Marelco
"Well we needed the space. We had very limited space where we were and we have four times that space so we have room for expansion and confidence in the economy too I guess."

"Prior to this we had always rented space and so we are pleased to have our own home. It's like a dream come true and we thank God for it."

At the ceremonies Marelco donated a scooter to Youth for the Future and a outboard engine to the Ministry of Fisheries. Prime Minister Hon. Said Musa cut the ribbon.
