If the Public Utilities Commission is successful in its suit, observers say that BTL could owe consumers as much as 40 million dollars.

It will be a record judgment not only in dollar figures but also the
first victory for consumers. The victory would be for consumers but you wouldn't know it by the light support shown today at the Supreme Court.

So it got us wondering if Belizeans really do care about this 40+ million dollars they are supposedly owed. Keith Swift hit downtown Belize City for some answers.

Random Sampling of Opinions,

#1,
"Sure I do care about the money. I do deserve it cause I paid my phone bill."

#2,
"Of I would do good with that right now. It is my money."

#3,
"If I care about it? Of course I care about it.

Keith Swift,
"Do you think you will get it?"

#3,
"I do not know that is up to them."

#4,
"Of course I want it back, and I care about it and feel I deserve because I mek phone call and if I was cheated I think I deserve my money back."

#5,
"Things are kind of bad right now so I could surely use it right now."
