The cycling scene is in a frenzied atmosphere of preparation all in the hope of one cyclist taking the coveted cross country garland.
Scheduled for the 10th of April this race is Belize's biggest cycling event but before glory comes workouts and as part of that M and M Engineering is holding its second annual 5 day cycling tour.
The tour started off on Wednesday and will end on Sunday. It sees riders participate in a three stage race that includes a trip to mile 21 on the Western highway, the boom circuit and for tomorrow a run up to Benque and back. For Sunday its two rounds of the boom circuit.
Leading the tour are Mateo Cruz, Quinton Hamilton, Douglas Lamb, and Roger Royer in that order.
