The BTL board was to have met tomorrow at the request of Ashcroft Director Dean Boyce but that meeting will not take place.

7NEWS _is reliably informed that the deadlocked board will not meet tomorrow as the meeting has been postponed. We understand that the meeting cannot take place because two B share directors namely Michael Ashcroft and government's Keith Arnold are unable to attend. That gathering for directors is now scheduled to take place next week Friday.

Meanwhile another meeting that was scheduled for tomorrow between BTL's Communication Workers Union and government representatives has also been postponed. The major government figure to have been present in that meeting, Godfrey Smith will be out of the city touring the Northern Districts of Corozal and Orange Walk hurricane shelters in preparation of the possible threat Hurricane Emily poses to that portion of the country.

And while the postponement of the meetings are one matter, another is the impending sale of US$40 million worth of shares of BTL to Ashcroft's E-com that was expected to have been dealt at tomorrow's board meeting. Now that is on hold as government is yet to announce the status of the sale.
