Union leader Christine Perriot – in April, her battle to get re-instated at BTL became a cause celebre and a Supreme Court matter. But now, Christine Perriot seems to have had enough, and she’s calling it quits. Perriot told 7NEWS yesterday that after 17 years, she resigned on Friday November 9th.
Perriot said that since being reinstated in June, management has made it just too difficult for her to continue at BTL, including devising corporate maneuvers ot frustrate her. That included not paying her after she had been re-instated and instead off-setting her salary against an ex-gratia payment she received when she was terminated in February. Her case for compensation and wrongful termination is still going to trial.
