Princess Donates $500,000 to GOB

Prime Minister Dean Barrow today received four checks from the Princess Hotel and Casino. But it wasn’t for taxes, the 4 checks totalling half a million dollars will be used to convert the National Youth Cadet Service Corp into a facility that can house young offenders. It will be a prison for juveniles - as part of government’s vision for a juvenile justice system.

The checks are for $125,000 each and the instruction to government is to cash each on the 10th of the month – starting June in and ending in September. Prime Minister Barrow received the checks from the Princess group of companies’ coordinator M. Hamdi Kara-Gozoglu.
