BSI's Tower Hill Factory was closed three weeks ago and tonight the news is that it should be operational again within the next 72 hours.

Earlier this week we told you about concerns that emerged after one of the turbines came back from repairs and didn't work right.

Well, BSI sent out a release today to say that the work required to return the Turbine to service is nearing completion and the final stages of testing are in progress.

Next, the turbine has to run with a load for 24 hours and if that goes alright, the plant should be fully operational within 72 hours which means by Sunday morning.

That would make it three and a half weeks of stoppage.

Still…fingers, toes and machetes are crossed tonight, pending the final stage of testing. Another update will be given tomorrow Friday, 4 March when the date of resumption of cane deliveries will be announced. And while one turbine is in the final stages of testing, the other is still being repaired in Guatemala - and the bad news is that those repairs are delayed by three weeks.
