And while Tracy Panton was not too keen on the causeway, Big John, a tour operator, said bring it on. He's in agreement with the project because, of course, he stands to make more money. But he represents the other shoe: Belizean tour guides who, for years, have had to struggle to win over the few tourists trickling out of the tourist village. And he feels that the entire Stake Bank project is a step in the right direction for them.
John "Big John" Pollard - Tour Operator "Stake bank is a Belizean project, yes I would support it because my company will be out there too, this is not the first cause way that you have seen in the world and does the cause way in America and other countries, did it hurt the environment? You have in Florida where 7 miles of cause way and goes from to the next and next in cause ways. For the cause way, I would say yes, I would support he cause way, I am supporting things that will be beneficial for the people in the country of Belize."
Courtney Menzies "So you think it would be easier because I know you guys have to get the tourist that trickle out, so you think it will be easier if stake bank is there?"
John "Big John" Pollard "It would easier in my view I believe."
