The new Statutory Instrument was issued this weekend ahead of its expiry yesterday. And while many Belizeans were hoping for a curfew relaxation - at least one more precious hour - it remains at 9pm and has been extended until December 1st. But on the other hand, Casinos are allowed to reopen, with some conditions. Some of those conditions are that all employees and patrons must be immunized and have their vax cards; they must maintain a physical distance of six feet and only operate at only 50% capacity; they must wear a mask at all times; gaming machines must be arranged in a way that allows for social distancing; hand sanitizing stations must be at the entrance and throughout the casino, including at every game table; a JP must be employed to ensure compliance and he or she must be paid an honorarium by the employer.
