A large delegation of Belizean officials is taking center stage at the Latin America (LATAM) Summit 2022 in Cancun, Mexico.

It is the Caribbean region's largest business forum that offers an opportunity for bilateral meetings between governments and the private sector on areas ranging from tourism, the hotel and restaurant industries, transport, healthcare to construction and manufacturing, among others. Belize and 4 other countries are being highlighted at this event: Colombia, Panama, the United States, and Mexico.

Agriculture Minister Abelardo Mai addressed the Summit on behalf of Prime Minister Briceno, and he emphasized that Belize is open for business.

Belize's delegation includes representatives from the Office of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise, the Ministry of Tourism and Diaspora Relations, and the Belize Tourism Board.
