And we know that Floralia also had plans to expand to the north, but with the new system, will they be confined to the south? Will they even be in the running to be one of two bus lines? Or will the BBA push them out entirely if they don't accept the merger?

According to the BBA reps, Floralia wasn't even discussed in the meeting, but they're not so sure if it will have a seat at the table since it's the new kid on the block.

Ewart Metzgen:

"The process of getting it to that has already started whereby with the BBOC, Mr Shaw, we have Mr Sylva, who own Sylva's bus line, well the discussion just started with him, these three companies to merge. There are four bus companies in the west: BBOC, Sylva's, Shaw's, Westline. If Mr Shaw, Mr Sylva, and the BBOC, the crowd that own BBOC, merge, that gives you two companies in the west, that is easy to fix. So what the Minister said then so why don't we use the west as a pilot to see how this thing will work so the only bus companies names that got mentioned were those four bus companies that I told you just now. What was said after that was, they will give the association six months to get the other operators in this country to understand what is taking place with that. We told them the only other area that would be easy to fix like the west would be the south."

Jules Vasquez, Host:
"You only have three."

Ewart Metzgen:

"We didn't even mention James bus line when we discussed that discussion with the south. We just said the only other area that will be easy to fix will be the south."

Jules Vasquez, Host:
"But you all would like it very much if Floralia would just stay in the south."

Thomas Shaw:
"I heard on the news that Floralia would be going so when James is going so. We didn't have that discussion at all. Because Floralia won't come here and not because we're having this transformation, they'll be taking no 15 runs out of Belize. We are looking out for our existing operators. He is Johnny come lately."
