And while we still haven't heard what the rest of the association thinks of the new proposed bus system, which will see only two bus lines in each region, there have been murmurings that some of the members aren't too happy. They feel that Shaw has sold out to the government - if Floralia ends up being confined to the south, he'll no longer worry that his run is being threatened.
However, when host Jules Vasquez questioned him about it, he flatly denied it.
Jules Vasquez, Host:
"How do you answer the criticism that coming out of the meeting today, you sellout, you get what you want, you get them to back off from your run."
Thomas Shaw:
"No, no, no, they haven't backed off from my run."
Jules Vasquez, Host:
"Because I'm reading this thing here and you're going to amalgamate and there will only be 2 bus lines per region so that means Floralia will be in the south."
Thomas Shaw:
"No, no, we didn't bring up anything about Floralia, and let me tell you something, the viewers out there, Mr Shaw didn't sell out, because I'm not stupid, I'm not a square peg in a round hole, I'm not stupid. I didn't sell out one bit."
Ewart Metzgen:
"If you want hear the meeting in full, we have it recorded, you know."
Thomas Shaw:
"Let's not go there yet, let me answer Jules. You could say that we sell out, I, Thomas Shaw, will not sell out, I wish they could pay me and I stop fool with them, but they didn't give me a dollar. Nobody give me anything."
Jules Vasquez, Host:
"No, I don't mean that you accepted, I would never accuse you of that. But I'm saying because you get what you want, and then you say alright..."
Thomas Shaw:
"No, no, no, pertaining to my run? We didn't even discuss that."
Jules Vasquez, Host:
"So your run..."
Thomas Shaw:
"Floralia is still on that. So after the meeting was finished because it was a lengthy discussion, we went in and we called Floralia but he couldn't make it. So we're supposed to meet tomorrow because we met and when they looked up the matrix, indeed, that's Mr Shaw's run. So we didn't discuss that at all, so I don't want anybody to get carried away that I get what I want."
