It's been more than 2 years since the last police auction, a bottom-dollar sale of the country's seized and once-stolen two-wheel vehicles.
And for many Belizeans, it's the chance at a major come up even if the item they buy needs major improvements.
The lots at this auction were accumulated through the entirety of the pandemic, meaning there was a whole lot to sell, and by the size of the crowd at Belize City's Queen street station this morning, the public knew it.
I was out among the crowd and here's some of what the enterprising auction shoppers had to say about the action.
Proceeds from the police auction go into the police reward fund.
