But, all that was dramatically torn up today - almost like a psychic projection of what the Prime Minister probably wishes he had done months ago. Now, as a matter of political strategy, the PUP must distance itself from the definitive agreement - even as they try to negotiate new terms with Royal Caribbean and Portico.
It's one heck of a balancing act - and to pull it off it means muddying the waters with as much UDP mud as they can. And to hear the Minister of Education tell it they might have an unlikely ally in this: Erwin Contreras. He was second deputy of the UDP for decades and a senior Minister for 12 years, but now that his party has turned on him, Fonseca suggested that he might have some beans he wants to spill:

Francis Fonseca, PUP Freetown Rep
"If you listen to what Erwin Contreras is saying privately, it was signed only after consultation with members of the Cabinet Sbcmte on investment and with the former Prime Minister. In short order Minister Contreras will have an opportunity to support these claims very likely in a court of law."
