
The war in Iran is driving up world gas and oil prices and, as of midnight, the effect is going to be felt sharply in Belize.
Pump prices for regular and premium fuel are going up by over a dollar per gallon while the price of diesel will remain unchanged.
In the city, Premium- which is at 12.53 per gallon right now - is going up to $13.76 - which is an increase of one dollar and twenty three cents ($1.23) per gallon.
Regular is going up from $11.77 to $13.02 which is an increase of one dollar twenty-five cents per gallon.
Diesel will remain stable at 12.05 per gallon but that may also increase soon when the next shipment comes in.
