WestJet Announces Non-Stop Winter Flights Connecting Winnipeg to Belize

For thousands of Canadians facing the bite of another prairie winter, salvation will soon come in the form of a non-stop flight south.

WestJet has announced its winter 2026 schedule, introducing a brand-new weekly non-stop service connecting Winnipeg directly to Belize City starting December 14, 2026.

For the Belize Tourism Board, the announcement is a vote of confidence and a new air route connecting the chilly Canadian prairies to our tropical shores.

Currently, Canadian travelers make up about 6% to 7% of all overnight visitors to Belize.
