While the prison is undergoing its transition from a government department into a private institution, the problems plaguing the facility will not magically disappear. This morning Gregory Casildo, an inmate that was just about to exit the system a free man, was delivered into the hands of the police. Casildo had apparently assembled a prison-made gun which is believed to have been fashioned somehow by converting a padlock into a working weapon capable of firing 357 rounds. The gun has been turned over to police, and Casildo is now awaiting charges of possession of a prohibited firearm.
