Alleged arsonist 23-year-old Ivan Ayuso had another charge laid against him in Magistrate's Court today. Ayuso appeared before Magistrate Earl Jones where the charge of "attempted suppression of evidence in a criminal trial" was read to him.
Police contend that on September 30th of last year, a year after he's accused of burning down the Paslow Building, he attempted to have Jose Lopez, the former court messenger, refrain from giving evidence in the matter.
Ayuso was released on his former bail of $10,000 for the Arson charge.
It is alleged that Ayuso set the Paslow building on fire on September 29th of 2002. At the time of the fire Ayuso worked at the Magistrate's court which was housed in the building.
