Police have made two arrests for that suspected drug plane found abandoned off the Northern Highway on Thursday.
For the night vision equipment and telecommunications devices found near or in the plane, 37-year-old Wilhelm Braun and 45-year-old Jorge Enrique were arrested.
Both men were arraigned in court yesterday on a charge of possession of apparatus for generation and transmitting radio waves without a license. Both men pleaded guilty to the charges in court yesterday and were fined $5,000 thousand, which they paid.
And then there is another arrest for the other suspected drug plane found the next day on a feeder road off Mile 38 on the Northern Highway.
As we reported, a silver Toyota pickup was found near that plane. Well police tracked down the owner of the pickup and today 59 year old Benigno Loria had his day in court. He was charged with abetting and conspiracy to use an aerodome without the permission of the chief aviation officer.
