By all accounts it was a tragic accident and one, which could have
Been prevented which is why today police charged David Penner for causing the death of his 5 year old son Johann.

The story is strange because Johann was run over with a tractor, which was being driven by his 6-year-old brother.

The report to police is that on Saturday the father allowed the 6 year old to drive the tractor on their property located between farms 40 and 41 in Shipyard on the Guinea Grass road.

Of course a 6 year old has no business driving and so the father as charged with, "the event of causing manslaughter by negligence."

And there was another tragic loss of a toddler's life up north in Orange Walk yesterday.

Around 3:30 yesterday, 35-year-old Rudolfo Hernandez was driving from Orange Walk to Honey Camp on the San Estevan road when he lost control of his vehicle. It flipped and overturned. His 5-year-old son received massive head injuries and he died on the spot.
