And then there was one defendant in the murder trial of a Chinese grocer as today the DPP's office withdrew murder charges against brothers Levi and Shane Bahadur. The Bahadur brothers were originally charged along with Michael "Crazy" Arnold for the June 2003 murder of Chinese grocer Kong Yi. Now only Arnold will stand trial as today at the start of the preliminary inquiry the DPP's office sent a memo to the court indicating its intent to withdraw the murder charge against Shane and Levi Bahadur. The victim Kong Yi was found dead in his store at the corner of Seagull and Poinsetta Street in Ladyville on June 13th by his brother. No reason was given for the withdrawal of the charges.
