It's every parents worst nightmare: to entrust their children to caretakers in the hope that they are properly taken care of, only to find out that they are being abused. That's the dilemma a couple from Ladyville find themselves in tonight after their 3 year old son told them that he was being sexually molested by the 18 year old son of his babysitter. It's an unspeakable and blood crawling accusation, and to make the crisis worse for this family, they claim they are not getting a suitable response from the authorities who deal with these kinds of situations. They came to us today distressed and with nowhere else to turn.

"An observation was given, a physical was given of the child and at the time the paediatrician said that there wasn't any penal penetration, but there was the possibility there could have been penetration of another type of object or the finger or anything of that nature. So at that time the officer said that there wasn't any charges that could be filed because if it was fondling there had to have been a witness to the fondling. The way I look at it is that if it didn't happen, something like that almost happened or something like that pretty much happened."
"So what we are trying to do is that we are trying to at least let it be known that this person is out there and that there are other kids that are being babysitted also."

"Maybe about 11 to 12 kids they babysit. The babysitter has her grandkids about 4 girls and maybe two boys. They have other kids that they babysit. The way my son acts and the way he has been acting from a while back this has been going on for a while."
"The police said that we don't have a case and even if we take this to court we would lose it because they said that there wasn't any proof to say that the penis was actually inserted into the little boy."

"There weren't any reports that were given to us. All we got was the report of the initial physical at the time that the doctor gave the examination was that there can be or there may be some kind of penetration but there wasn't any penal penetration that she could notice at that time, that was the end result"
"We would like to know that if there is a person out there that is defiling these children and other familes are invovled who are dealing with this babysitter they need to take heed and investigate this for themselves."

"All I need the public to know is to be aware of what is going on when you take your kids to the babysitter. You can't trust anybody."
"I am at the point that if it takes that I have to stop working to make sure that my sons are O.K. If that is what i have to do i will do it. I have to make sure that this does not happen to them again. I know he is going to remember this. He is 3 years old and if he can come to me and say mommy this is what happened and he says it over and over again he is going to remember this there is no way he is going to block this out of his mind."
"I expect this to have a full investigation done."
The Everett's say they intend to keep on pressing authorities to investigate.
