Last week the United Nations Children's Fund, UNICEF held a forum for young persons to give their opinion on how HIV/Aids is being managed. Today UNICEF was asking for generation next's opinion again but this time the subject was youth violence and the justice system. Moderator Kenrick Williams explains what they were looking for at today's forum:

Kenrick Williams - Moderator
“We are looking at young people to speak out as to how crime and violence is affecting them. We want programs, we want to hear from them some of the programs that we could put in place to help them so that they can be affected by the system.”
“Really what we want to do is to hear from young people. (1) What do they think should be the age of criminal responsibility? Second of all we want to hear again what are someof the programs that could be put in place so that we could reduce the crime and violence in Belize.”

After today's forum, recommendations will be put together for submission to UNICEF and the human development department.
