A 21-year-old youth is in jail tonight accused of pulling a gun on his neighborhood grocer.

The man is Kyle Blades and police say yesterday he along with an accomplice entered Lin Sheng Lou's store on Racecourse Street and opened fire demanding money. The store's owner fired back and the thieves fled but not before making off with a reported $300 in cash. Shortly after police caught up with Blades who was found in possession of a 9-millimeter Glock pistol used in the robbery.

In court this morning the 21 year old was formally charged with possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition. On those charges this morning he was granted bail in the sum of $4,000 thousand dollars. But before he could meet it, this afternoon he was marched back into the court and formally charged for the robbery. Blades pleaded not guilty and was denied bail since a gun was allegedly used. The case was adjourned until December 10th. His alleged accomplice is still on the run.
