An accused rapist is in jail tonight.

Orange Walk police say that over the weekend a 24-year-old female was walking on San Lorenzo road when she was approached by Ismael Jimenez Jr. who offered her a ride on his bicycle. She said no and that's when cops say Jimenez flipped, grabbed her by the hair and forced her onto the bike. He allegedly then took off with his victim riding with her a short distance away. He then took her off the bike and punched her in the face after which he raped her.

The victim's cries for help were heard by neighbors who captured Jimenez and made a citizen's arrest. The victim was taken to the hospital while Jimenez was taken to jail where he remains tonight.
