He was accused and remanded last week after police alleged that he abducted and molested a 3 year old girl from a pre-school, but tonight 24 year old Joseph Hernandez is a free man. The DPP's office today sent a memo to the Magistrate's court for Hernandez's immediate release on charges of indecent assault. Apparently police are zeroing in on another suspect which is why they are setting Hernandez free. Last week Hernandez was charged for picking up the 3 year old girl from the Catholic Diocese Child Development Center on September 13th. He claims it was by mistake but the child's family alleged that only did Hernandez take the girl but he also fondled her. A removal warrant was issued for Hernandez and he has been freed by now - after a little hitch: that is that police brought down the wrong Joseph Hernandez today.
