Georgeville Resident Killed in Hit & Run

A Georgeville villager was knocked down and killed late Friday night as he was walking home on the western highway. Tonight police are asking your help in finding the driver who fled the scene after knocking down and killing the victim 20-year-old Leonard Waight. So far police know that Waight was drinking with friends when he decided to walk instead of accepting a ride home. It turned out to be his last walk as police say that between miles 62 and 63, which is deserted, Waight was run over by a driver who didn't stop. Police are looking for that driver and if you have information, you can contact the 922 crime stoppers hotline where a cash reward is offered for info that leads to an arrest.
