13 Years for Sex with 13-year-old Girl

BDF Sergeant Alejandro Chi who was found guilty of the carnal knowledge of a 12 year old girl last week, appeared in the Supreme Court for sentencing this morning. While he was originally undefended, today he was represented by attorney Linsbert Willis who offered a plea of mitigation. In it, Willis explained to the court that chi has been a member of the BDF for the past 20 years, 10 of which he has served in a highly sensitive post as military intelligence officer. Willis also added that his client is remorseful for the pain and suffering he'd caused the 12 year old and her family. For his part trial Judge Troadio Gonzalez said that while the minimum mandatory sentence for such an offence is 12 years in jail, he saw it fit to add an additional year to it bringing it to 13 years the time that Chi will have to serve in prison.
