Cayo police killed a Guatemalan man during a violent exchange with robbery suspects on Christmas morning. Tonight police only identify him as "Guillermo" from the Sutchacan area of Guatemala and they say that he along with Guillermo Tun fired upon a police patrol Saturday morning in the Bullet Tree area of Cayo. Police say the men lay-waited them in the bushes and opened fire once they approached. Police are claiming they fired back and that is when "Guillermo" was killed and Tun was injured in both legs. He is receiving treatment under police guard at the San Ignacio hospital. Police say they found a.357 magnum on the dead suspect and a.38 revolver on Tun. Police are asking for the public's health identifying the dead suspect. Police say both men were wanted for questioning in connection with a string of bus holdups and armed robberies in the Cayo area.
