They have no body, and thus no murder charges can be brought but Corozal police have charged three men for the robbery of constable Maurice Martinez. Today, Apolonia Cerdeda, Edmund Crawford Sanker Jr., and Elio Lopez, all from villages in the Corozal District were charged for robbery and remanded until January 27th. Investigators believe they also killed Constable Martinez, but because no body can be found, homicide cannot be established at this time. The constable with 16 years experience was last seen on December 22nd. He was parked with a female companion on a ferry road in the Corozal district. His female companion has told police they were attacked, blindfolded, and carjacked, but she was left to escape.
