Last week there were changes in Cabinet and to go along with it this week there are changes in the deployment of chief executive officers. At top of the list of changes is former transport and housing CEO Sandra Hall who goes over to health, energy, and communications. She replaces former health CEO Henry Anderson who is reportedly the new UB Provost. Public service CEO Margaret Ventura picks up the slack in transport which is now added to works while Eberto Mai moves over to housing. Hugh O'Brien makes a 180-degree move from agriculture to national development. O'Brien's old job at agriculture and fisheries is picked up by Dr. Michael Tewes. Lawrence Sylvestre remains CEO for foreign affairs and is now the acting CEO for tourism where he displaces Tracy Taeger who had recently been bumped up to that post. Carla Barnett remains financial secretary with deputy Nigeli Sosa. Crescenio Sosa also keeps his job as CEO in finance. Former CEO in foreign trade Jose Alpuche is the new director general for foreign trade. That of course is the job which Prime Minister Musa had offered Eamon Courtenay after he told him he was removing him from Cabinet. Today's release from the Cabinet also announced that Yvette Alvarez has been re-appointed as deputy governor of the central bank, a post which she had been unceremoniously removed a year earlier.
