He was convicted of rape but the Director of Public Prosecutions wants to send Kenrick Domingo to jail for life. In September of 2003 Kenrick, known as "Buck" Domingo was charged with raping a 23-year-old woman on West Collet Canal. He was tried and convicted of the crime and began to serve a 10 year sentence for it. But 10 years was just not enough, at least not according to the laws of Belize as section 20 of the Crime and Criminal Control Act prescribes life imprisonment for anyone with two or more convictions for crimes including maim, robbery and rape. Domingo has that, and then some. That's why with this the DPP appealed Domingo's sentencing brining to the Appeal's Court attention that Domingo has had two convictions for robbery and one for rape along with 56 other convictions for other offences. With that, on Tuesday, the Appeals Court referred the matter to the Supreme Court for re-sentencing.
