A Double Head Cabbage resident is lucky to be alive after being grazed in the head with a bullet from an armed robber. At 9:30 yesterday morning, 35 year old Wayne Roland was leaving Ming's Shop on Caesar Ridge Road with some groceries when a man rode up, held a gun to Rowland's head while another took his wallet. They had his money, but that wasn't enough as the gunman started to ride off but then turned and fired a shot at Rowland's head. Fortunately, the bullet only grazed him, and he was treated for his injury and released. Police have not made any arrests but say they are responding to a rash of shootings in that area of Port Loyola by deploying increased police patrols.
