Today police took four men to Belmopan Magistrate's Court to face charges for the murder of 68-year-old Wilfredo Requena who was killed on February 9th of this year in the Western Village of St. Matthews. After police found 4 men with items believed to have been stolen from Requena earlier this week in Roaring Creek, they arrested 19 year old Rudolph Young, 20 year old Leroy Arnold, 25 year old William Rubio and 17 year old Alfonso Juarez. With the exception of Young, who is a friend, they are all related and all residents of St. Matthews. There they were read charges of murder and abetment to commit murder.

Back in February (See Watchman Murdered in St. Mathews Village) Requena was beaten to death at a house in the Franks Eddy layout area of St. Mathew's Village. At the time he was left in the lower part of the house for which he was a caretaker. He had been tied up and beaten over the head with a blunt object.
