A 13-year-old teenager is at the KHMH tonight after a 12 year old stabbed him. Sometime around 4 yesterday evening, 13-year-old Clinton Gill was at the MCC where he was acting as a linesman for a Belize District primary school football championship game. At halftime he went to take a water break and that's when another boy, a 12-year-old former classmate, approached him and they got into a fight. During the scuffle the 12 year old stabbed Gill in the back with an ice pick. Now he's in the hospital recovering form his injury. And from her watch at the corner of her son's bed, Clinton's mother, Karen Jorgenson, who wished to appear off-camera told us what she knew.

Karen Jorgenson, Victim's Mother
"They came and told his dad yesterday when I was asleep that he got stabbed. I went to downstairs of Emergency and they kept him down there for observation until last night when they brought him upstairs. They have a tube in his side. He was lining the game and when they reached at halftime that was when the incident happened."

Alfonso Noble,
You know the reason?

Karen Jorgenson,
"Some sort of a bicycle wheel or something like that. He said some of his next friends took a wheel off of [mentioned the suspect's name] and they said it was him. He was telling him it wasn't him and still the boy blamed Clinton. I don't know what to say right now because right now not even my mind is contented. How you expect me to feel knowing that it is my son lying down in here?"

Alfonso Noble,
And basically it was one of his friends who did it?

Karen Jorgenson,
"Yes one of his own friends."

Gill is expected to make a full recovery even though there is a tube attached to his lungs to extract fluid that was accumulating there after the stab wound punctured it. As for the 12-year-old accused of the stabbing, police expect to charge him shortly.
