At the same time his post mortem was being performed, Arleigh Guild's accused killers were being arraigned for his murder before a Magistrate. Three youths, including a 17-year-old minor, are behind bars tonight for Monday night's execution style murder of Guild at Old College Beach. This afternoon 22-year-old Dwayne Saldano, 19-year-old Richard Wallace, and 17 year old Ryan Welcome were jointly charged with murder. Our sources say the three, who are from the Yabra Area, were picked up less than an hour after Tuesday night's shooting. The lead investigator is Corporal Dirk Dyer says investigations continue, but they believe the three youths charged today are responsible.
Cpl. Derek Dyer, Lead Investigator
"A follow-up investigation led to the arrest of three persons, including one minor, at this time."
Keith Swift,
Have you determined a motive?
Cpl. Derek Dyer,
"Not at this time. We haven't come up with the motive for the crime but the investigation continues."
Keith Swift,
Did he know his attackers?
Cpl. Derek Dyer,
"Apparently he did."
Keith Swift,
Was a hit? Did they go there looking for Arleigh and when they found him they killed him?
Cpl. Derek Dyer,
"At this time I cannot say that due to the fact that it might compromise the case."
The three youths were remanded to the Hattieville Prison until their next court appearance. Guild was parked in a car along with a female friend on Monday night when they approached by three masked men. A knife was placed to the girl's throat while Guild was pulled out of the vehicle and shot to his head. Guild was out on bail for an unrelated armed robbery charge dating back to November of last year in Cayo.
