Nude and Dead in Buena Vista

The nude body of a woman was found yesterday evening in a village in the Corozal District. Police were called out to an area near miles 65 and 66 on the Northern Highway in the Buena Vista Village around 4:30 where they found the body of a 34-year-old woman. She was identified as Guatemalan National Vivian Ysenia Mendez Cruz who was living in the same village. Police have not yet determined the cause of death but because of the state in which she was found, are suspecting foul play. The post mortem has not yet been conducted to determine if she was raped but they do know that her body showed a single entry wound which may have been from a firearm or a bladed object.
