Russel Dougal Charged for Attempted Murder

He allegedly shot Cyril Jones on Friday night and now 21-year-old Russell Dougal is facing attempted murder charges. Dougal was arraigned in Magistrate's Court this afternoon for attempted murder in addition to dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm. He was granted $7,000 bail plus one surety. Up to this evening he still hadn't met the bond. Dougal's case was adjourned to August 31st.

Cyril Jones reported that on Friday night, he was simply standing on Kraal Road waiting to pick up his girlfriend when he was shot for no apparent reason. He was hit in the left side of his abdomen, and underwent surgery to correct internal damage.
