Heineken Deliveryman Robbed of $8,000

City businesses remain under a virtual state of siege as armed robbers continue to conduct robberies in broad daylight. This afternoon the scene was Tommy's Store on Central American Boulevard near its junction with Faber's Road. An armed man pulled up on a Karl H. Menzies deliveryman who had just collected payment of $8,000 for a large delivery of Heineken Beer. The gunman strode up, demanded money, and even fired a shot which fortunately didn't hit anyone. Police have not issued a formal report but it is believed that he made off with most of the money.
