And while the Senate Special Committee continues to investigate who is responsible for that ill-advised and costly decision, the Prime Minister has again turn3ed to social security for something small - except this time he's doing it as area representative.
7NEWS has confirmed that on Monday, General Manager of Social Security Narda Garcia endorsed and circulated a resolution to board members asking them to approve by round robin a donation of $10,000 to refurbish the Fort George Community Pre-School. It's a worthy cause, but a number of Board members have balked at the request, in view of the mismanagement of Social Security funds that have taken place under the tenure of the Musa administration. Still, with the majority of board members in Government's favor and the endorsement of the always generous General Manager, there's every indication that the donation will go through.
