High speeds, and bad parking are believed to have been the causes of an ugly collision which toppled a pickup truck this afternoon in the middle of Mahogany Street. It happened just after 2 pm when a Toyota pickup which was eastbound on Mahogany Street crashed into a Toyota Prado which was heading in the opposite direction. The pickup flipped three times on a street heavy with traffic and crowded with pedestrians. Fortunately no one was seriously injured. 7NEWS was on the scene and Edwin Stanford who was driving the Prado which is the property of Jaguar Paw Resort told us what happened.

Edwin Stanford, Involved in Accident
"I was coming down Mahogany and a car was coming on the right hand side of the street and Toyota Hilux was coming in the opposite direction. When he saw I was already here, he tried to swerve to miss hitting a car that was parked on the side and he smashed into me. He knocked off my front wheel, he spun, knocked the taxi on the side, and he ended up over there. That is all I have to say."
Keith Swift,
You think he was in the wrong?
Edwin Stanford,
"He was coming at a high speed so it tore off my wheel and that is what went on. He was coming at a high speed and the impact knocked off the wheel and he ended up over there because if I was coming at a higher speed crazier things would have happened. I was coming at a slow speed and that's why it happened like that."
Keith Swift,
Did you receive any injuries?
Edwin Stanford,
"No, everything is curry."
Keith Swift,
How lucky do you feel to have survived?
Edwin Stanford,
"Well life is reality once and it is not your day, the biggest war can come and it can't take you. So until that time you just have to left it up to Jah to guide you and everything stay curry and calm. I don't feel lucky at no time because if this was my day today I would have been driving and caught a heart attack and run off the road and dead so I just take life as it comes and grateful same way, that this is how it ended up."
The pickup truck which ended up on its side was being driven by a Radisson Hotel employee. A third vehicle, a Toyota Corolla, which was parked on the roadside was also damaged in the collision.
